My New Friend

Photo from flickr by focal dilemma

So I was walking home late one evening and was in a sense propositioned. Well, in a good way. This little girl was walking home with her mother and asked me if I was going to work. I told her I was heading home. When I asked for her name, she responded with, "Asia Poo." Haha. Adorable, right? Her name of course is Asia, but the way she accentuated the "Poo" was too cute for words. She asked me what my name was and I told her Anna, but she can call me Anna Poo. She then asked if she could come home with me. Again, adorable. I told her I don't know if her mom would like that, but I wouldn't mind because she seemed like a lot of fun.

Ok. I love, love, love kids! Why can't we all be like that. My new friend liked me and wanted to hang out with me because she thought I was pretty cool. Not that I could really blame her;). So, here is what I learned from my new little friend: Don't be afraid to speak up and be yourself because in the end, some people will really like you for you. And that's wonderful! Those who don't like you for you.....eh, they simply aren't worth your time! Just keep being cute, stay curious, and life will be grand. And you will meet some pretty nifty people along the way, like Asia Poo!
